N.C. Academy of Dance Arts exhibits “A Tradition of Dance Excellence” that continues to set the standards that others may only follow. NCADA strives to provide a unique approach to dance... your child’s total dance education matters to us. Classes are taught in a happy atmosphere where knowledge grows through individual instruction. Whether your child wishes to dance for fun, or is an aspiring young professional...we can help make those dreams come true.
A Registration form, a current year contract and registration fee must be received by the NCADA office before a student’s class placement is confirmed. Please note: A credit card account number is also required on the registration form.
Registration fee of $40.00 per family is non-refundable and is due with registration application for the current season.
Monthly tuition for the current season is due the 1st day of each month. Monthly billing statements are mailed on the 1st day of each month.
Monthly tuition payments must be made by cash, check, money order, Master Card or Visa. Payments may be dropped off in the NCADA front office or mailed to:

Payments must include student’s name as name appears on registration form. Accounts with balances 2 months past due will be charged to their credit card accounts.
Returned Checks are charged a $35.00 check fee and must be paid by cash, money order or credit card.
Declined Credit Cards (2nd offense) are charged a $25.00 fee and must be paid by cash, money order or valid credit card.
Late fee charge of $25.00 will be charged to accounts with payments received after the 15th of each month.
Production fee of $45.00 is charged to each account on February 1st. Each account will receive 2 tickets to performance of choice via production packet mailed by April 15th.
Costume policy dictates that all NCADA students are involved in the annual year-end production. One costume per child per class is ordered by January 20th. Each student is responsible for costume payment unless NCADA is notified in writing by January 15th that student declines to participate in production.
Costume Fee (non-refundable) is charged to each account on March 1st. Costume balance (remaining balance due) is charged to each account on April 15th.
The following rates will apply:
• $50.00 deposit (partial payment) for 1 class ... 1 costume
• $100.00 deposit (partial payment) for 2 classes ... 2 costumes
• $150.00 deposit (partial payment) for 3 classes ... 3 costumes
• $200.00 deposit (partial payment) for 4 classes ... 4 costumes
• $250.00 deposit (partial payment) for 5 classes ... 5 or more costumes
Withdrawal policy states that a student that wishes to withdraw must submit a written notice to the office manager of NCADA. Verbal acknowledgement is not acceptable.
• $65.00 withdrawal fee for 1 NCADA class
• $100.00 withdrawal fee for 2 NCADA classes
• $140.00 withdrawal fee for 3 NCADA classes
• $160.00 withdrawal fee for 4 or more NCADA classes
• $200.00 withdrawal fee for Dance Arts Theatre Company members
• If written notification is received after the 15th of the month... the account will
also be charged tuition for the month that notification of withdrawal is given.
Classes follow the public school calendar regarding holiday closings. Teacher workdays are not observed. For inclement weather closings NCADA will post updates on the Academy’s answering machine and WNCT and WITN and our Facebook page.
Parent Observation is an opportunity for parents to observe their childâ€™s progress in class. Observations are scheduled for one week in November and one week in February. Students and parents are notified two weeks prior to these dates. Cameras, floor cushions, and grandparents are also welcomed!
Parking Lot Protocol
NCADA requests that vehicles ENTER the parking lot from CARLTON and EXIT onto PLAZA DRIVE. If dropping students off…follow the side curb and drop off at the front sidewalk. If accompanying students inside the lobby…please park in a parking space and then accompany inside. Do not park along the curb. Thank you!
